What is the CF Checker?

The CF Checker checks the contents of a NetCDF file complies with the Climate and Forecasts (CF) Metadata Convention.

The CF Checker is open-source and available on Github. See the README for instructions on how to install and use the CF Checker locally.

Acknowledgements

The CF Checker was originally developed at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research, UK Met Office by Rosalyn Hatcher and was supported by PRISM (PRogramme for Integrated Earth System Modelling). Subsequently development and maintenance was taken over by NCAS Computational Modelling Services (NCAS-CMS). Further development is currently being supported by IS-ENES3.
